On August 21, 2006, Beaver Medical Group opened its
new Banning Primary Care Center located next to the existing facility
on Ramsey Street. "The new Primary Care Center has been designed
from the ground up to optimize patient access and service,"
said John Goodman, Administrator.
Nurses and physicians work together in care teams using a new "advanced
access" system. Patients speak directly to their physicians'
nurses who can quickly book appointments. Same-day and next-day
appointments are often scheduled. If a patient's personal physician
is not available at a convenient time, the patient may choose to
see another member of the same care team.
In addition, a Patient Representative is located on-site to provide
orientations, help patients choose a physician, and answer questions
about the services and staff.
Most of the Banning internal medicine, family medicine and pediatric
providers moved to the new Primary Care Center at 5957 W. Ramsey
Street. " We have cosmopolitan care in a rural setting . The
Beaver doctors in Banning have come to Southern California from
all over North America, and in some cases the world; bringing state
of the art knowledge and expertise, at the same time as providing
patient oriented, personal care," said Darlene Rae, MD of Banning.
With the population in the Banning area growing rapidly, Beaver
Medical Group has also recruited several new primary care physicians.Healthcare
providers work together in the following teams:
Team 1:
Jill Cuni, MD - Pediatrics
Glenda Yetter, NP - Pediatrics
Team 2: Sherif Khalil, MD - Internal Medicine
Susan Tarter, NP - Family Medicine
Team 3: Omar Bashir, DO - Internal Medicine
Mamdooh Gayid, MD - Internal Medicine
Moses Park, MD - Internal Medicine (begins 10/2/06)
Team 4: Howard Green, MD - Family Medicine;
Irada Dalili, MD - Family Medicine (begins 9/18/06)
Kim Bennett, PA - Family Medicine
Team 5: Darlene Rae, MD - Family Medicine;
Zakia Raana, MD - Family Medicine
Susan Pak, PA - Family Medicine
Christer Joreteg, MD and Ting Wu, MD continue to practice at the
6109 W. Ramsey Street facility.
The existing Beaver Medical Group facility at 6109 W. Ramsey Street
is expanding specialty services. Even though Beaver Medical Group
is the largest multi-specialty practice in the area, Dermatology
and Urology specialists will join the Banning office in fall. In
addition, more specialties are expected in the near future. Banning
already has Cardiology, General Surgery, Obstetrics/Gynecology,
Oncology, Ophthalmology, and Pulmonology specialists.
The Extended Care Center will also remain at the existing facility.
It is open to walk-in patients Monday-Friday from 1:00 PM to 9:00
PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
To celebrate the opening of the new Primary Care Center, Beaver
Medical Group plans to host a Grand Opening Event with a health
fair, food, tours and activities for kids on Saturday, October 7,
2006. View the Grand
Opening flyer.
"This design has worked very well at other locations and we
are eager for the patients and physicians in the Banning and Beaumont
communities to be able to enjoy the benefits of this unique service
model," said Goodman.
The phone number for both facilities in Banning is (951) 845-0313.
